Landscape Edging

Every spring I touch up all my landscape beds by trenching around them to prevent grass and weeds from growing in them. All you need is a sharp flat spade.
I take my size 13 shoe and go in at an angle around the landscape bed.
I usually go about 2 inches deep around the perimeter. Then I spread a fresh coat of mulch around the bed, filling in the 2 inch trench that I just made and all around the plants in the landscape bed.
When you are done you should have a nice and clean looking landscape bed that should remain weed and grass free for the rest of the summer.
